LA POULE
Part I La Poule
Instrumental
Part II The Endless Time
All I sowed, scattered through rhymes
Is running deep inside of time
A seed has flown, a tree is born
What kind of glow blooms in the shrine ?
I could cry a thousand tears
A thousand years to blind my fears
In the embers a myth was found
A lifeless year, an endless time
I will come back here again
And I will rise up in vain
I’m gonna rise up,
I’m gonna rise up from pain
In the flame, I see our end
In the ash, the wheel of time
I've been hoping all my life
We’re all doomed now, bound to die
I pray for you to be saved
And this is my long goodbye
Hear my cry, hear my cry
I lost my way to the shrine
Part III Poule
Instrumental
Part IV First Man
I see a reflection
As I lean to the sea
Dive into illusion
And drown in disgrace
I embrace my fate
I travel through space and time
I see my future and my past
Witness my life, I’m the first man !
Part V Komodor
You better hide your soul
They will catch you anywhere
You better hide
You better hide your soul
Dark forces, on the rise
You better hide
Sun is bleeding and the moon is falling down
Belts of Saturn and sky is rumbling loud
Gods in the sky, another lie
Only demons come from the stars
Free your mind from evil within
And let Reason light your path
You better hide your soul
They will catch you anywhere
You better hide
Ground is cracking and the sea is rushing in
Mount of madness will swallow your blood and soul
Gods in the sky, another lie
Only demons come from the stars
Free your mind from evil within
And let Reason light your path
Keys of Heaven and the Hades remain lost
Gates of wisdom and our fates are crashing now
Gods in the sky, another lie
Only demons come from the stars
Free your mind from evil within
And let Reason light your path
Gods in the sky, another lie
Only demons come from the stars
Free your mind from evil within
And let Reason light your path
Free your mind, think by yourself
Free your mind, think by yourself
Free your mind
Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends ;-)
In other words, this is a real treat for fans of classic ELP - or keyboard-driven early 70s prog - fans, more generally.
Perhaps a little less virtuosic than the forefathers, but surely with a sharp (knife-)edge.
Fun-fact: Helmsman and keyboardist Thor Erik Helgesen normally plays guitar in a black metal band ;-) Carsten Pieper

For some reason, what I previewed and the real songs was somewhat different - maybe because of the cover art?
But I definitely don't regret something more spacial than expected. The recent Ocean drifting in space. frankwurst
